Wrinkles

I get joy by giving joy. One of the many ways to do this is to either give a gift certificate to a loved one to go and be pampered by getting a facial.  Or by giving them a facial with all of my wonderful Young Living products. And the ultimate is to give a gift of one of our many skin care products!!

Facials are a favorite on my pampering list. Well honestly I can be pampered, with massages, pedicures, manicures, or healing therapies, and any of these “pampering techniques” would be my favorite. However I don’t necessarily need to go to someone to get a facial, because I have great products that I use on a regular basis.

Here is a list of what I do for my facial:

  1. I start with Satin Facial Scrub Mint: Satin Facial ScrubTM Mint is an advanced cleansing formula designed for normal skin. It cleans, nourishes, and stimulates without damaging the skin’s natural pH balance. Safe, gentle ingredients help to exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin for a fresher, smoother appearance. Contains MSM, antioxidant vitamins, and botanicals.*  skin-care
  2. Next I use all of the A.R.T. Skin Care Products: A·R·T® Skin Care System- Age Refining Technology – is a superior concept in skin restoration that combines the advanced technology of DNA recovery enzymes with a proprietary anti-aging Peptide Complex to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, diminish age spots, even skin tone, and increase the elasticity and density of skin. Recognizing the incredible power of essential oils, Young Living added frankincense and sandalwood to this unique formula to reinforce DNA renewal. Add the legendary wolfberry seed oil, known for its superior moisturizing and skin conditioning properties, and you have the formula for a truly unique and effective skin care system*A·R·T Skin Care System includes Day Activator (30 ml), Night Reconstructor (30 ml), Gentle Foaming Cleanser (100 ml), and an instructional booklet.*

This pretty much covers what I do at home for a facial either for myself or my loved ones.

In between facials I either use the Day Activator and Night Reconstructor or our Boswellia Wrinkle Cream.

Boswellia Wrinkle Cream nourishes skin for a smoother, more youthful appearance. Its primary ingredient methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) supports collagen to improve skin firmness and minimize fine lines. Essential oils geranium, myrrh, sandalwood, and ylang ylang soothe and soften the skin, while frankincense and wolfberry oil enhance collagen formation.*

In the mornings I apply Wolfberry Eye Cream. This helps in alleviating puffiness and dark circles under my eyes.

Wolfberry Eye CreamTM may be applied morning and evening to ease the appearance of puffiness and dark circles around the eyes, and to promote skin tightening. Wolfberry Eye Cream is formulated from oil that is carefully extracted from the seeds of the Ningxia wolfberry. Rich in vitamin E and linoleic acids, wolfberry oil has unusual chemistry that makes it ideal for nourishing and hydrating skin. It is highly regarded by Asian women for its regenerative properties and its ability to protect aging skin and add luster to skin tone.*

I feel that my skin is softer and younger looking because of my use of Young Living skin care products on a regular basis.   It’s nice to know that I can pamper myself in the in between times, before I get out to have someone else pamper me. Friends even comment on how young looking my skin is and that compliment sure does make a girl feel good.

skin-care-spa-peopleArticle contributed by Shayla. Not very many people want wrinkles. In fact, I don’t know anybody that wants them! Everywhere, women in particular are always on the hunt for new ways to prevent and reverse the aging process of their face. Knowing how, and why wrinkles form can be helpful in knowing what to look for in an anti-wrinkle cream. In this article we will discuss these topics, as well as some elite, facial care products to help you fight the war against creases!

As we age our skin becomes thinner, drier, and starts loosing it’s elasticity. Environmental factors also come into play when it comes to wrinkles. Free radicals for example cause skin to age more quickly (see my article on Petrochemicals, Free Radicals, and Essential Oils to learn how to combat these environmental factors).  Keeping the skin well hydrated with the right moisturizer can really help with the anti-aging process. Notice I said “the right moisturizer” though! Most cosmetics on the market contain ingredients that are not only cancer causing, but can actually, in time, do the opposite of what you are purchasing them for. Chemicals are not friends of the skin! In a test conducted by the Environmental Working Group, many skin care products including cosmetics and around the eye and anti-wrinkle creams were tested to have cancer causing contaminants above government recommended limits (see article here). That’s not too pretty! Parabens, another dangerous ingredient that is actually banned from European cosmetics,  are in ours and they have been found to disrupt the endocrine system. The list of dangerous ingredients can go on and on. Read the rest of this entry »

This scrub is excellent for exfoliating dead skin. The addition of Rosewood essential oil is excellent for skin rejuvenation and wrinkle prevention and softening. Rosewood’s antibacterial and antifungal properties make it a good choice for acne and many other skin issues. Rosewood’s ability to improve skin elasticity makes it a perfect choice for those who like to make their own skin care products.  rosewood-oil
