A powerful essence connects us to the spiritual, to the divine. A sacred fragrance can open pathways, encourage self-love, and clear distractions. Now our hearts can communicate with that which is holy. Now our minds can hear the whisper of peace that will bring us comfort and enlightenment.

Embarking on a spiritual journey of transformation by aligning and balancing your energy through the use of therapeutic-grade essential oils is a powerful way to bring yourself into emotional balance. Integrating awareness of the physical through the application of these essential oil blends from Young Living Essential Oils formulated to help you attain a higher spiritual frequency.

For centuries, spiritual seekers have used essential oils, incense and fragrances to help them focus and create sacred spaces that enhanced their ability to connect with the Divine. It is an interesting fact that diverse ancient cultures that had no way of mingling chose many of the same fragrances and aromatherapy oils to intensify their communion with the Spiritual Realm.

The essential oils listed below are Young Living blends that are specifically chosen to enhance a person’s ability to become more aware and receptive to Spirit. These blends are believed to possess vibrational frequencies that affect the physical and energetic bodies, removing blocks and balancing energies to experience greater “vision” or to “hear” with more clarity. The frequencies of these oils enhance perceptions that enable you to feel a greater Oneness with Spirit.

Inspiration – creates a sacred space for communication; opens the heart and mind, enabling you to ask for direction and increases your ability to hear the answers; a combination of oils used by native people in the East and North America for increasing spirituality and enhancing prayer, meditation and inner awareness.

"There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly." ~ R. Buckminster Fuller

Over a decade ago, I studied ‘Space Clearing’ with Denise Linn as part of my classical Feng Shui Training. I was reading some old articles and emails from 2008 and came across this one (below) that Denise had written.  Denise was one of the people in my life who have helped me on my spiritual path and shared with me empowering tools that I will carry with me forever.  Denise has since moved on to teaching Soul Coaching, perhaps you’ll find this story as spiritually moving as I do…Healing energy from hands

The Warrior’s Code

Last week I was on a flight into San Francisco and I surreptitiously noticed the young man sitting next to me in the middle seat. He radiated a calm centeredness. He didn’t seem to be squirming in the struggle for “personal boundaries” that so often accompanies those who are stuffed into tight middle seats. As I’m always intrigued to find out what beliefs are held by those who seem at peace, amidst the chaos of everyday life, I engaged him in conversation.

He explained that he was a Marine and had been stationed four different times in Iraq. He said his life was often in peril and there were many times when buddies, on either side of him, had been killed or seriously wounded. I couldn’t understand how someone—who had been in that much constant danger and who had seen so many violent deaths and carried shrapnel in his arms—could be so at peace. "There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly." ~ R. Buckminster Fuller

Chakras are spinning vortexes of energy, which both take in and emit life-force energy. There are eight main chakras down the centerline of the body, from the top of the head to the bottom of the torso. When all chakras are spinning evenly and in concert with one another, the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual systems of the body are in balance. Therapeutic-grade essential oils are excellent for balancing and blending the chakras.

The following is a basic reference on how to use essential oils for activating and balancing the energy centers – chakras – of the body.Chakra color chart

You may find an eBook I wrote with David Zarza, C.Ht. to be useful in addressing the Chakras, Working with Emotions: Aromatherapy and Your Shadow.

First Earth: The Root (or Base) Chakra

Essential Oil Blends: Valor®, or  Abundance

Apply topically to the bottoms of the feet and sacrum.

The root (or base) chakra is the first and most important chakra for yoga or any kind of healing work. The key words here are courage, security, safety, grounding, and boundaries.

Second Water: The Sacral Chakra

Essential Oil Blends: Peace & Calming®, or Harmony

Apply topically below the navel.

The sacral chakra is the center of your creativity, desire, emotion, sexuality, and intuition. This is where you learn how to give and receive pleasure.

Third Fire: The Solar Plexus Chakra

Essential Oil Blends: Harmony™, or En-R-Gee

Apply topically below the sternum and behind the stomach.

The solar plexus chakra is the center of personal power, ambition, intellect, astral force, desire, and emotions based on intellect and touch.

Fourth Air: The Heart Chakra

Essential Oil Blend: Joy

Apply topically to the center of the chest at heart level.

The heart chakra is the center of compassion, love, group consciousness, and spiritually associated with “oneness” with “all that is.”

Fifth Ether: The Throat Chakra

Essential Oil Blends: Believe™, or Valor®

Apply topically to the posterior neck and the base of the occiput (the back part of the head or skull).

The throat chakra is the center of communication, sound, and expression of creativity via thought, speech, and writing.

Sixth Light: Third Eye Chakra

Essential Oils: Frankincense, or Peppermint

Apply topically to the middle of the forehead and above the eyebrows. The t hird eye chakra is the center of physic power, higher intuition, the energies of the spirit, magnetic forces, and light. This center is about Divine Thought, balanced intuition, and intellect.

Seventh Crown: The Crown Chakra

Essential Oils: Frankincense, or Lavender

Apply to the crown of the head.

The crown chakra is the center of spirituality, enlightenment, dynamic thought, and energy. The keyword is inspiration. This is the connecting link to your highest and finest self.

Aria and TheraPro essential oil diffusersDuring the winter months there is usually a higher amount of air pollution and bacteria in the air than at other times of the year due to an increase in the closed doors and windows and the fact that cold air keeps air pollution closer to the ground. This increased pollution can lead to respiratory issues for some. The anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and antiseptic properties of pure therapeutic-grade essential oils, along with the negative ions and oxygenating molecules which are released when essential oils are diffused all help to reduce bacteria, odors in the air. Therapeutic-grade essential oils never mask odors, they purify the air of odors and bacteria causing germs. When higher quality essential oils are diffused the results go beyond basic aromatherapy!

Pure Therapeutic-grade Essential Oils Recommended for Indoor Air Purification

  • Single Essential Oils: cypress, eucalyptus, fir, grapefruit, lavender, lemon, and rosemary.
  • Essential Oil Blends: Thieves, R.C., Purification, and Citrus Fresh.

Diffusers and Diffusing

The Aria Ultrasonic Diffuser (above left) (#4524) emits a fine mist of essential oils that stays suspended in the air. It is a perfect natural alternative to synthetic air fresheners. By breaking up a mixture of water and essential oil into millions of micro-particles, the Aria disperses an aromatic mist into the air, activating the beneficial constituents found in Young Living Therapeutic Grade essential oils.

The TheraPro Premium Diffuser (above right) (#4495)  is designed to disperse essential oils in a micro-fine vapor (without containing water) so the essential oil stays suspended for several hours. The TheraPro Premium Diffuser disperses the oils without heating them (heat destroys the therapeutic compounds), so the essential oils retain their therapeutic benefits.

Experiencing the physical and psychological benefits of aromatherapy diffusing in your home is amazing and you may wish that you had started doing this much sooner.

Aria and TheraPro essential oil diffusersThe benefits of diffusing Young Living therapeutic essential oils are many and varied. One thing for certain, it’s a win-win!

Essential oils kill pathogenic micro-organisms of all kinds.

World renowned medical researcher, Dr. Jean Valnet M.D., states that essential oils provide remarkable protection against viral infections ranging from shingles to influenza.

Private research, funded by Young Living Essential Oils. Inc. at Weber State University, successfully demonstrated specific essential oils diffused in a closed chamber killed every virus tested within minutes. Of 74 Young Living single essential oils tested, lemongrass, Roman chamomile, cinnamon, rose, valerian and yarrow scored the highest kill rates.

Specific Young Living blends of essential oils, like the Thieves blend demonstrated a 99.6% kill rate against airborne bacteria and scored high for its antiviral qualities and anti-fungal qualities.

Diffusing essential oils in the home or work place is one of the best ways to purify our environment. The anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and antiseptic properties of the oils, along with the negative ions and oxygenating molecules that are released when essential oils are diffused.

Cinnamon bark oil, oregano oil, and Thieves oil were all tested by Weber State University, and were shown to kill 100% of the airborne bacteria present when diffused into the atmosphere. (KID-Radio with Lance Richardson and Dr. Gary Young, ND, March 5, 1996).

By diffusing essential oils, or applying them topically to targeted areas of the body, therapeutic constituents reestablish balance where stress or mental discomfort has disrupted healthy emotional function.

"There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly." ~ R. Buckminster Fuller

Exodus essential oil blendExodus II™ is a timeless blend of essential oils from the same type of plants that Moses used for temple incense. Exodus II energizes while it complements Young Living’s Exodus dietary supplement.

Some researchers believe that these aromatics were used by Moses to protect the Israelites from a plague. Modern science shows that these oils contain immune-stimulating and antimicrobial compounds. Because of the complex chemistry of essential oils, it is very difficult for viruses and bacteria to mutate and acquire resistance to them.

Exodus II™ Essential Oil Blend Ingredients:

  • Cassia (Cinnamomum cassia) is anti-infectious, antibacterial, and anticoagulant. It was part of the formula the Lord gave Moses (Exodus 30:22-27) for the holy anointing oil.
  • Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis) is anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic, anti-infectious, and decongestant.
  • Frankincense (Boswellia carteri) is considered a holy anointing oil in the Middle East. It stimulates the hypothalamus to amplify immunity. Research at Ponce University shows that it inhibits breast cancer and enhances DNA repair. In ancient times, it was well-known for its healing powers, and was reportedly used to treat every conceivable ill.
  • Spikenard (Nardostachys jatamansi) was used by Mary of Bethany to anoint the feet of Jesus. Strengthens immunity and hypothalmus function.
  • Galbanum (Ferula gummosa) prized for healing since Biblical times. (And the Lord said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; sweet spices with pure frankincense: Exodus 30:34).
  • Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha) is antimicrobial oil and antimutagenic. It is referenced in the Old and New Testaments (A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me… Song of Solomon 1:13). Its high levels of sesquiterpenes stimulate the hypothalamus and the pituitary and amplify immune response.
  • Cinnamon Bark (Cinnamomum verum) is part of t! he formu la the Lord gave Moses (Exodus 30:22-27). It is antibacterial, antiparasitic, antiviral, and antifungal. Researchers, including J. C. Lapraz, MD, found that viruses could not live in the presence of cinnamon oil.
  • Calamus (Acorus calamus) is part of the formula the Lord gave Moses (Exodus 30:22- 27). It is antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory (gastrointestinal).

For aromatic use. Apply two drops to wrists, feet, or other nonsensitive areas of the body. Diffuse or apply to palms of hands, cup hands over nose and inhale deeply.

Possible skin sensitivity. If pregnant or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Dilution recommended for both topical and internal use. Dilute before using on sensitive areas such as the face, neck, genital area, etc. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid using on infants and very small children.

Companion Products: ImmuPro supplement (#3213), Super C Chewable supplement (#3251).
