Have you ever wondered if the chemical products you use can contribute to health problems? If you have, and if you have looked into it very deeply, you know that they most certainly can. The Environmental Working Group did a study that they called Ten Americans in which they discovered up to 455 chemicals polluting people, and they went on to find that chemical pollution in people is in fact linked to diseases. According to Talia Rose at www.organicgrace.com, regular mattresses are soaked in a carcinogenic (cancer causing) chemical solution, and this chemical is found in blood samples taken from umbilical cords, and is even found in mothers milk.

Living in the Pacific Northwest can have you cooped up inside because of the rainy days. What I like to do on days like that is to have some fun making more easy gifts for family and friends.

I enjoy giving gifts that are all natural and are not harmful in anyway, such as being free of toxins and chemicals. Instead they are made with Young Living therapeutic-grade essential oils. Single Oils

Lemon-A strong, purifying, citrus scent that is revitalizing and uplifting. Lemon consists of 68 percent dlimonene, a powerful antioxidant.
Peppermint-A strong, clean, fresh, minty aroma. Very refreshing and awakening.

Blends

Christmas Spirit-is a sweet, spicy blend of orange, cinnamon, and spruce essential oils that tap into the happiness, joy, and security associated with the holiday season.*

Purification-can be used directly on the skin to cleanse and soothe insect bites, cuts, and scrapes. When diffused, it helps to purify and cleanse the air from environmental impurities including cigarette smoke and other disagreeable odors.
Thieves-This proprietary essential oil blend was university tested for its cleansing abilities. It is highly effective in supporting the immune system and good health.*
White Angelica-is a calming and soothing blend that encourages feelings of protection and security. It combines oils used during ancient times to enhance the body’s aura, which brings about a sense of strength and endurance. Many people use it as protection against negative energy.

Directions for creating Spritzers:

Fill 1 ounce glass spray bottle half way with alcohol.
Drop 10 drops of Young Living therapeutic-grade essential in bottle.
Finally, fill bottle with alcohol. Spray and smell. You may need to add more essential oil to get the best scent.
Apply pretty labels, with ingredients.
Apply labels saying; Spray in the air to fill the room with beautiful scent. Spray on clothing, linens, bedding, towels or furniture, for freshening and lovely scents.

When you spray the spritzer on your clothing, it is a wonderful aromatherapy perfume and people always comment on the wonderful scents. So try it out and see the response that you get from people.

These spritzers are excellent for freshening any stale air, or rooms that have stinky smells, like the bathroom can get to be at times. So having a bottle handy in the bath room is nice to be able to grab whenever one needs to squirt a more pleasant scent into the air.

Every time I give someone a spritzer gift, they want to learn how to make them too. I always explain that spritzing is a quick way to freshen the air, but to get even more added benefit from therapeutic-grade essential oils, is to diffuse the essential oils into the air.

Dogs, Cats, Fleas, Fear and Using Natural Remedies

pets-animals-cat-dog Our pets are part of our family and we love them and want to take good care of them. If they have fleas or even anxiety issues, we want to help them to be comfortable. We should stay away from chemicals and toxins and find natural remedies to help them.

I could write a short story on how I have used therapeutic-grade essential oils with my pets and the stories of my friends using natural products on their pets. I will start with a friend who has show dogs. She one day asked me; “Is there an essential oil that could help one of my show dogs, who is extremely timid, to be able to perform better? I know Young Livings essential oils are pure and therapeutic-grade, and I want a natural remedy, rather then using synthetics or chemicals.

I immediately thought of two of our blends; Peace and Calming and Valor. I explained to her that the Peace and Calming may help her dog to be more relaxed and the Valor could give him courage and confidence.* I said to her: “It is very important to always remember to use less oils on pets. What you should do is first put 1 drop of Peace and Calming in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together in a clock wise motion, and then “massage” them onto the pads of the dogs feet. Let him rest a few minutes and you should see a noticeable difference in his attitude. Next, do the same with the Valor.”

The next time I saw her she came up to me and said: ” Oh my gosh, I could not believe how the oils changed him. He had the best show he ever has, he was calm and pranced with confidence and when he was up on the podium, he stood like a rock. Thank you so much!! I need these oils!! And I know more dog handlers are going to want to purchase the oils, so how do I start a business with Young Living Therapeutic Essential Oils?” I showed her how to become a wholesale member and to make some extra money too. And now her “dog” friends are using the oils too!!

On another topic, have you seen on the news lately how pet owners are having severe problems with there cats and dogs with the flea products that they are using? Some get terrible allergic skin reactions, some get very ill, and many are dying. I wanted to jump into the television and say: “Hello!! I know you all love your pets and want the best for them, so listen up, this is what I do for my pets, a natural remedy of and essential oil blend of Purification.” I use it on my cat. I use one drop for the cat and put the essential oil in the palm of my hand, rub my hands together. Then I massage the back of his neck and the pads of his feet and I finish giving him a good petting. Lot’s of love and good health to all our pets!!

We love our pets and we have to take care of them, because they can not take care of themselves. Why not give them a better quality of life by loving them with natural products to assure them a healthier life!
