It is a grossly unfortunate situation. It has happened, I believe, yes because of the bad, processed and fast foods that come from animals pumped up with hormones and fed grains that have been grown in chemically fertilized grounds. Plus the large percentage of household cleaning products, personal care products and supplements, that are laden with ingredients that are bodies understand are not beneficial for consumption, because of the chemicals and toxins that are in them.
A little girl age 12 told me (this is now summer of 2010) that girls in her school are having sex at age 8!! My mouth dropped to the floor. Our conversation went on for sometime after that.
Who is to blame? Does it matter? What matters is RIGHT NOW we all need to make the appropriate changes in our lives and to teach our children how to take a turn on the road they are currently being led down, and show them what to do to correct what has been wronged of them. There are many things we can do daily that conserve energy, reduce monthly expenses, and improve the quality of our lives. Some are:
1. Use ceiling fans! They use 1/10 of the electricity as A/C. My results: my electric bills have dropped $150 to $200 a month! This does keep the place comfortable most of the time, when I feel too hot I take a shower and use my Young Living essential oils. So for the couple of really hot days we have per month I am sure happy to make this trade-off and be saving hundreds of dollars every month!
2. Dry laundry on a clothesline – they will smell better too!
In 1998 The Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History mounted an exhibition titled “American Clothespins,” which consisted in part of displays of patent models of clothespins from as long ago as the 1850s. People came in droves. Those old wooden pegs inspired a huge outpouring of nostalgia. Then one day Barbara Janssen, the curator behind the exhibition, was walking through the museum and saw a boy turn to his father and ask, “What’s a clothespin, Dad?” It’s no wonder the child had never seen one before.
Nearly 60 percent of American homes are now equipped with automatic clothes dryers. It’s in the shadow of the dryer that quaint old clothespins and clothespin doll kits turn up on auction at eBay. Bed bugs are escalating because of global travel; the increase of homeless and underground communities; the popularity of “Flea” markets and 2nd-hand store merchandise. The escalation of bed bugs is alarming and people should be aware of the problem, how difficult it is to be rid of them, yet not be too discouraged, because there are natural, safe, chemical free ways to have those bed bugs be gone.
If you’re traveling or you’ve just recently purchased some used furniture, it’s a good idea to do an inspection for any mature bed bugs. Bed bugs tend to be found in dwellings that are frequently used, like motels, hotels, apartments, dorms, care facilities, and most especially used furniture.
If you think you’re being bitten, it’s best to do a search of your home for these pests. Bedding, clothes hampers, throw rugs, pillows and furniture are probably the first places you’ll want to search for bed bugs.
Vacuuming the mattress, using the “Bed Bug Spray” mentioned below, and applying a seal-able cover over the mattress should be sufficient. Meanwhile, all clothes, linens, and bedding should be washed in HOT water, and the surrounding area vacuumed thoroughly.
Make sure that you dry the sheets and clothes in the dryer and not on a clothes line, as it is the long time in the dryer, not the washing machine, that will really ensure the bed bugs are dead.

Thieves Household Cleaner® and Black Mold in Bathroom
“Because of the unusual wet fall, winter, and spring we have had and the leaking shower head in our bathroom, we got a lot of black mold in our shower. All of the cocking was totally black. Any cracks in the tile grout were black. The fiberglass bottom of the shower had black growth also.
A friend of mine just bought an older home. She told me how she totally cleaned the moldy shower in the house she just bought. She removed the caulking with black mold on it. She scrubbed the entire shower, then sprayed chlorine bleach all over the shower, She sprayed an extra amount where the old caulking was to make sure the mold was completely gone. She let it dry a day, then re-caulked it with new silicone caulking. She was so excited that her shower looked new again.
When she came to help me do the same with my shower, She said the only thing that will completely get rid of the black mold is chlorine bleach. She knew I didn’t want to use anything that would harm my body by breathing it in or leaving a residue in the shower.
We first removed all the caulking with a flat head screwdriver, then we tackled the cleaning job. I made up a strong solution of Thieves Cleaner. I used 3 tablespoons of Thieves Cleaner per one 32 ounce sprayer bottle of filtered water. We cleaned the entire shower with the cleaner. She was amazed that the cleaner cleaned so well. Were able to get stubborn soap scum off the tiles by spraying it with Thieves Cleaner, then scrubbing it with a #220 waterproof sandpaper. In the hard to get crack areas we used a stiff scrub brush and an old toothbrush.
After we totally cleaned the shower and washed it down, we sprayed all the areas to be caulked with Thieves Cleaner. We let the shower dry over night, then caulked it with new silicone caulking. The shower looks great!
My friend was absolutely amazed that we did not need to use chlorine bleach. She said, ‘that Thieves Cleaner is amazing. It works better than 409, Windex, and chlorine bleach. I am going to get some.’

Thieves Household Cleaner® and Essential Oil to Kill Mold in an Older Home
“We recently moved from California to Utah into a home that was built in the 1880′s. It wasn’t until I was deep cleaning that I realized there were some serious mold issues!!
I got some samples, had them tested and there were several strains of molds, common and not-so common. We’d moved to an area that had no other homes available for rent and I was panicked, since I’m extremely sensitive to mold, having been ‘poisoned’ by black mold about 10 years ago. There was nowhere else to go while our home is being built.
I immediately got our my Thieves Cleaner, Thieves Essential Oil, Nebulizer Essential Oil Diffuser, rubber gloves and face mask! I sprayed the Thieves Cleaner straight onto the affected areas and just left it for several hours. Implicated in contact dermatitis, kidney damage, and liver abnormalities; can inhibit skin cell growth in human tests and can damage cell membranes causing rashes, dry skin, and surface damage.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)-Industrial uses include concrete floor cleaners, engine degreasers, and car wash detergents. Also found in shampoos, liquid soaps, conditioners, cleansers, toothpaste, and children’s personal care products. SLS is found in nearly all toothpastes, and is absorbed through skin contact and retained for up to five days.
Talc-Chemically similar to asbestos, talc has been inked to ovarian cancer. It’s found in many body and baby powders, as well as many cosmetics.
Alcohol-Most mouthwash products have a higher alcohol content than most alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, etc). Mouthwash products with alcoholic content greater than 25 percent have been linked to cancers of the mouth, tongue, and throat. Alcohol acts as a solvent inside the mouth, making tissues more vulnerable to carcinogens.
