First Aid tips

Staying well at school or work can be tricky with exposure to surfaces and airborne bacteria. The single most important thing we can do, and teach our children is the value of washing our hands. Hand washing not only can prevent colds and flu but can also help prevent the spreading of these germs. Most products on the market either contain toxic and unwanted chemicals or they are very harsh on the skin. Check out and try Thieves hand products if you want to experience nice results, these are two products I always have on hand. I even keep a stash of them in my Natural First Aid Kit.

Thieves® Foaming Hand Soap is balanced mix of natural ingredients that reduces the disruption of the skin’s natural moisture complex and leaves important lipids in place to maintain a proper moisture balance in the skin.

The essential oils in the Thieves® essential oil in the Thieves® Foaming Hand Soap and Thieves® Waterless Hand Purifier penetrate deep into the skin to act as a protective barrier long after you wash your hands.

Thieves® Foaming Handsoap can be used by children and adults, including those with sensitive skin, for natural and effective cleansing. Thieves® Foaming Hand Soap will cleanse, defend, and condition the skin with the therapeutic-grade essential oil blend Thieves®, pure lemon and orange essential oils, aloe, Ginkgo biloba, and vitamin E. Dispensed as a rich foam, Thieves® Foaming Hand Soap contains gentle ingredients so it can be used often without drying or stripping the skin.

Thieves® Waterless Hand Purifier is an all-natural hand purifier designed to cleanse and refresh the hands. Thieves® Waterless Hand Purifier can be used by adults and children to keep hands clean and promote good hygiene, without the use of water. Dermatologist tested.

"There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly." ~ R. Buckminster Fuller

Outside of Lavender, therapeutic-grade Lemon essential oil is perhaps one of the most versatile and useful oils to have around the home. Lemon oil can be used for everything from aromatherapy to flavoring water, to making your own uplifting bath salts to cleaning produce. Lemon oil has been widely used in skin care to cleanse skin and reduce wrinkles. It promotes clarity of thought and purpose, as well as health, healing, physical energy, and purification. Its fragrance is invigorating, enhancing, and warming. Lemon (Citrus limon) essential oil has antiseptic-like properties and contains compounds that have been studied for their effects on immune function. Lemon essential oil is cold-pressed from the rind.Lemon Essential Oil

Jean Valnet MD estimated that it takes 3,000 lemons to produce one kilo of lemon essential oil – use it sparingly when flavoring beverages or foods. In his book, “The Practice of Aromatherapy”, Valnet wrote that lemon is a tonic for supporting the nervous and sympathetic nervous system.

University researchers in Japan found that diffusing certain aromas in an office environment dramatically improved mental accuracy and concentration. Diffused Lemon oil resulted in 54 percent fewer errors! Diffuse for 10 minutes every hour. When aromas were diffused during test taking, scores increased by as much as 50 percent.

A 1995 Mie University study found that citrus fragrances boosted immunity, induced relaxation, and reduced depression.

Medical Properties of Lemon Essential Oil: Antitumoral, antiseptic, improves microcirculation, and immune stimulant (increases white blood cells), improves memory, relaxation. Rich in limonene, which has been extensively studied for its ability to combat tumor growth in over 50 clinical studies.

34 Amazing Ways To Use Lemon Essential Oil

  1. To clean non-carpeted floors, add 1/4 cup of white vinegar to a bucket of water. Then add 5 – 10 drops of lemon, pine, or spruce essential oil. If the floor is especially dirty, add several drops of dish washing soap. This will clean even the dirtiest floor.
  2. To make a carpet freshener, add 16 – 20 drops of essential oils to 1 cup of baking soda or borax powder. Mix ingredients together well and place in a covered container overnight so that the essential oil can be absorbed. Sprinkle over carpet then vacuum the powder up.
  3. You may also put 3-7 drops of Lemon essential oil on a cotton ball and place it into a vacuum bag – doing this scents the air while vacuuming. If your vacuum collects the dirt into water, simply add a few drops into the water reservoir before vacuuming. This refreshes both the carpet and acts as an air freshener.
  4. Some essential oils can act as gentle stimulants to the limbic system of the brain by their scent, increasing alertness and concentration enhancing the capacity for learning, improving memory, and assisting many other cognitive functions. A wide range of essential oils offer these benefits, such as: Lemon, Peppermint, Rosemary and Melissa. To help increase these functions simply inhale the chosen essential oil directly from the bottle or put a drop on a tissue and keep in your pocket for use throughout the day.
  5. Use 1–2 drops to remove gum, oil, grease, grease spots, glue and adhesives, and crayon from most surfaces. Tip: try a test area before to make sure you won’t ruin any finishes.
  6. Substitute lemon oil for lemon juice or lemon seasonings to flavor seafood, vegetables, beverages, and desserts. To use Lemon oil in place of the zest of “one” lemon – use 8 to 14 drops of Young Living Lemon essential oil. More on Cooking with Essential Oils.
  7. Combine 2–3 drops with water in a 4oz. spray bottle filled with water to help cleanse and sanitize kitchen and bathroom surfaces.
  8. Soothe or prevent corns, callous, or bunions by rubbing 1-2 drops of Lemon oil on the affected area, morning and evening.*
  9. Fill a bowl with cold water, add 2–3 drops of Lemon oil, and drench fruit and vegetables in the lemon water to extend the shelf life of fresh produce.
  10. Add a drop to your dishwasher before the wash cycle for spot-free dishes.
  11. Lemon has antiseptic-like properties and contains compounds that have been studied for their effects on immune function. According Jean Valnet, M.D., the vaporized [diffused] essence of lemon can kill meningococcus bacteria in 15 minutes, typhoid bacilli in one hour, Staphylococcus aureus in two hours, and Pneumococcus bacteria within three hours. Even a 0.2% solution of Lemon oil can kill diphtheria bacteria in 20 minutes and inactivate tuberculosis bacteria. More on diffusers and diffusing.
  12. Lemon has been shown to have antidepressant effects in research done by Komori, et al.,1995. Diffuse or inhale Lemon oil to receive the benefits of aromatherapy.
  13. Lemon oil may help brighten a pale, dull complexion by removing the dead skin cells. Simply mix a drop with your cleanser to help promote healthier skin tone.
  14. Lemon oil can serve as an effective insect repellent. See recipe for making your own beeswax mosquito candle.
  15. Rub a drop of Lemon oil on a wart morning and night, may help it to disappear.*
  16. Rub 1-3 drops of Lemon oil to clean a butcher’s block or other cutting surfaces to disinfect those surfaces.
  17. Add one teaspoon of lemon essential oil to one-cup mineral oil for an effective furniture polish.
  18. Homemade lemonade, in a blender mix 2 drops of Lemon oil, 2 tablespoons of honey and two cups of pure water. Adjust the amount of each ingredient to suit your own taste.**
  19. Put a drop of Lemon oil on bleeding gum’s caused by gingivitis or tooth extraction to help with healing and disinfecting.
  20. Rub 4-6 drops of Lemon oil with 1 teaspoon of V-6 Massage Oil on cellulite, may improve circulation and help eliminate waste from the cells.* Read Lymph, Liver & Cellulite Tips and Recipes.

  23. Put 10-15 drops of Lemon oil in each gallon of carpet cleaning solution to help pull out stains and brighten the rug. This also leaves a fresh smell in the room.
  24. Diffuse Lemon essential oil to freshen the air in your home or office.
  25. Add 1-2 drops Young Living Lemon oil to a glass of water, tastes yummy, no calories, and alkalizes the water. Tip: only use a glass glass as Lemon oil WILL dissolve items made from petrochemicals and styrofoam.**

  30. Rub two drops of Lemon oil topically, may clear athlete’s foot.* More on Athlete’s Foot and Essential Oils.
  31. Heartburn is a burning pain felt behind the breastbone. It is most often the result of acid reflux, that is, when stomach acid rises up the esophagus where it irritates the lining. Lemon essential oil (which comes from the rind, not the pulp) is one of the best remedies for heartburn, as it causes the stomach to stop excreting digestive acids. Simply add a drop or two of Lemon oil to a small glass of water and drink.** More on AlkaLime, pH and Heartburn.
  32. Relaxing & Rejuvenating Aromatherapy Bath Salt Recipe: 1 drop Grapefruit oil, 1 drop Lemon oil, 1 drop Orange oil, 1 drop Patchouli oil, 3 drops Ylang Ylang or Geranium oil, 1 cup Epsom Salts or Sea Salt. Add to running bath water. Soak for 20 minutes.
  33. NingXia Red Electrolyte Drink Recipe: Combine 2 oz. Ningxia Red
,16 oz. purified water
, 20 drops YL Mineral Essence
, 1 drop YL Lemon oil
, 1 drop YL Peppermint oil
, 1 teaspoon YL Blue Agave. Mix ingredients together in a glass bottle (I like to re-use my empty NingXia Red bottles to keep my water and mixes in, they’re nice sturdy bottles). You can make a more watered down version for the kids. More on NingXia Red and Electrolyte Drinks.
  34. Refreshing Bacteria Killing Spray: You’ll need - 32 oz. spray bottle, 8 drops Spearmint oil, 8 drops Lemon oil, 6 drops Lavender oil, 6 drops Thyme oil, 6 drops Rosemary oil, 4 drops Eucalyptus globulus, and water. Fill spray bottle 7/8 of the way with water, add your Young Living essential oils. Shake the mixture well and periodically during use. This mixture smells as terrific as it is powerful at killing germs.

* CAUTION: All citrus essential oils can cause photo-sensitivity when applied topically to skin that will be exposed to direct sunlight. Allow 24 hours for before exposing skin to direct sun.

** SPECIAL NOTE: Only use therapeutic-grade / food grade essential oils for flavoring foods and beverages, we only recommend Young Living Essential Oils as they are the best, unadulterated, and the most pure of the essential oils available on the market.

"There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly." ~ R. Buckminster Fuller

Recently I was making dinner, a healthier version of fried chicken cooked in a stainless steel long handled  skillet in the oven.  I put the skillet in the oven for 45 min. on 350 degrees, then on broil for about 10-15  minutes.  I opened the oven door with every intention of removing the skillet by the long stainless steel handle with my right pot holdered hand.  Before I could reach in, my 5 month old kitten jumped onto the small table next to the oven, and got into jumping position, about to jump into the oven, which was still on broil!

Without thinking, I threw my gloved right hand and arm up to block the kitten from jumping into the oven, and grabbed the handle of the pan with my completely unprotected left hand, which had no oven mit or pot holder on it.  My hand was completely bare.  I grabbed the pan handle, stood up, shut the oven door with my hip, and only then did I realize my hand was tightly wrapped around this 750+ degree metal handle, and burning, badly!

I dropped the pan on the stove top, ran to the sink, turned on the cold water and held my hand under it, screaming like a banchee the entire time.  By now I was crying, the pain was unbearable.  Some parts of my fingers were already turning white, and blistering.  The rest of my hand was fire engine red in color, and I could feel the temperature in my hand was still rising.

I continued holding my hand under the running cold water for about 10 minutes.  Then I filled a large bowl with very cold water and submerged my hand in itup past my wrist.  During the minute I had my hand out of the water to fill the bowl, I thought I was going to pass out from the pain.  The internal temperature of my hand was clearly still rising.  After about 10 more minutes of soaking, I refilled the bowl, adding 2 trays of ice to it to get the water temperature as cold as possible.  I asked my daughter to get me a full bottle of Young Living Lavender Essential Oil.  I added the full 15 ml bottle of therapeutic grade Lavender essential oil to the bowl of ice water.  As I stood there soaking my hand, my mind was racing….. was this a severe 2nd degree burn, or was it going to be a 3rd degree burn?  Either way, I was in trouble.  It was my hand, the thing we all use the most and can not be without.Lavender Essential Oil

By now it was 10pm.  My choices were to go to the Emergency room, or continue soaking my hand in the Lavender Essential Oil bath.  This was truely a crisis situation.  My extensive medical background told be to get to the local hospital for treatment, my Young Living Essential Oil background told me to stay put.  Young Living won.  I had my daughter carry the Lavander Oil ice bath back to my bedroom while I shuffled along, never removing my hand from the lavender bath.  I got comfy sitting up in bed with my bowl snuggled in next to me.  After about 1 hour, I removed my hand from the bowl.  My fingers were partially curled, my hand was a mishmosh of white and deep red patches.  After only about 2 or 3 minutes out of this bath, I could feel the temperature rising quickly, and again the pain became unbearable.  It felt as if my hand was quite literally on fire!

I plunged my hand back into the Lavander Ice bath, moving my entire arm to swirl the water around to keep the Lavander Oil well mixed.  I soaked my hand for roughly 4 more hours.  By now it was almost 3 am, I was exhausted.  I removed my hand from the Lavander Essential Oil ice bath, got a large sterile gauze pad, soaked the pad in more therapeutic grade Lavender Oil, placed it on the palm of my hand, (which was still curled as if still holding the pan handle), wrapped it on, and fell asleep, hoping for the best.

When I awoke a few hours later, I tentatively removed the gauze pad.  My hand was still very blotchy, but nothing like it had been when I first submerged it.  It no longer felt like it was on fire, in fact it was not painful at all.  Ok, what next?  I tried separating my fingers from each other…that didn’t hurt.  I tried straightening my fingers…that didn’t hurt.  I tried wiggling my fingers…that didn’t hurt.  So far so good.  I closely inspected the skin visually.  I just was not sure if I should touch it.  I was literally afraid it would slough (fall) off  if I did.  I got a new sterile gauze pad, put Young Living Lavender Oil on it, placed it on my palm and re-wrapped it, hoping for the best.

I left it wrapped up for 1 day, trying not to use it at all.  The next day, I unwrapped it.  It was like unwrapping a present on Christmas morning.  My hand looked perfectly normal!  There were no blisters, no red or white blotches.  Nothing at all.  It looked exactly like my never burned right hand!  Whoopee!  I could not believe my eyes.  No traditional medical treatment, no emergency room, no Silvadene Cream, no debridement.  Nothing except cold water and Young Living Therapeutic Grade Lavender Essential Oil.

It’s been about 6 weeks, and my hand still looks and feels as though it had never been burned.  My personal medical opinion is that this is absolutely nothing short of a miraculous recovery.  Every week I find myself grabbing a bottle of Young Living Essential Oil while in the midst of a crisis situation, and every time I’ve had a positive outcome.  What a blessing that I was able to avoid the infection riddled Emergency Room this time, as well as the money I saved by not being treated in a hospital.

I had a fantastic outcome to this very severe 2nd degree burn.  I do not recommend that anyone else try this with any other type of essential oil except the Young Living Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils.  Those other health food store aromatherapy essential oils are typically garbage, you’re lucky if there’s actually 2 or 3 drops of actual essential oil in them, and they certainly are not Therapeutic Grade oils.  My response was as excellent as it was because I used the real thing… Young Living Essential Oils.  They are pure, undiluted, unadulterated Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils.

What a relief to have such a wonderful treatment for this burn that was all natural, that I did not have to leave my home to treat, that I didn’t have to go wait in the emergency room for hours, being exposed to all types of germs, and at a very low cost to boot!  It cost me $20.00 to treat my burned hand.  That’s it.  The priceless part is that my hand was completely cured, no scarring, no blistering, and I have complete and total use of  and feeling in my hand as if it had never been burned, and that is priceless.

Although I have been a nurse for 30 years, I’m finding that I have a better outcome to burns and infections using alternative treatments, all of which include Young Living Essential Oils.

I hope my wonderful positive experiences will encourage others to step out of the circle of traditional antibiotic medicine and into the circle of all natural green eco friendly alternative medicine therapies.  If we don’t take charge of our own bodies, no one else will.

I highly recommend to all of you reading this that you keep a bottle of Young living Essential Oil Lavender in your First Aid kit.  None of us know when an emergency like mine is going to occur, that’s why they call it an emergency.

Do not expect to get these results with any other brand of Essential Lavender Oil.

Aren’t you sick and tired of taking oral antibiotics and/or giving them to your dog or horse for infected wounds, which don’t work to cure the infection the majority of the time, because antibiotics have been so over prescribed and over used in our country.   But we sure do still get the side effects, from severe upset stomach to yeast infections, to allergic reactions, hives, and de-sensitization.  Sadly, those side effects aren’t even the half of it.

Our skin breaths and absorbs all the things we put on it, as well as things in the air, into our bloodstream.  Yes, this includes toxic chemicals, in everything from soap, perfume and lotion to antibiotic ointments and salves containing petroleum

Remember, the skin absorbs 60%+ of all chemicals we use on our skin and hair.

The bottom line: DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ON YOUR SKIN THAT YOU COULD NOT SAFELY EAT!

Mineral Oil and Vasaline Petroleum Jelly are used in topical antibiotic ointments in order for the company to create a soft creamy salve to dispense their antibiotic formula in.  Although these ointments may feel creamy and soft to the touch, the non antibiotic emolliants are actually toxic chemicals

Mineral oil is liquid petroleum which is a by-product in the distillation of petroleum to produce gasoline. Propylene glycol is typically a derivative of petroleum.  Mineral oils listed as petrolatum (petroleum jelly) or C-18 derivatives are frequently used in personal care products such as lipsticks, lubricants, baby lotions, salves and oils.   They commonly contain contaminants that studies have linked to cancer.   UCLA studies links “high levels of exposure to mineral oils to increased mortality and incidence of lung cancer, … and melanoma” Source: PubMed.com

Petroleum Jelly, or Petrolatum, is a semisolid compound derived from hydrocarbon. Mineral oil (a form of kerosene), also referred to as paraffin oil or liquid paraffin, white petrolatum, and paraffin wax are the most commonly used ingredients in skin care products today, used as the base cream for creating an oil and water emulsion.

One risk factor of Pancreatic Cancer is exposure to chemicals such as gasoline, petroleum products, and DDT (Alguacil J et al 2003; Hoppin JA et al 2000; Simon B et al 2001).

Mineral oils are also known to clog pores, forming a barrier, thereby preventing skin from eliminating toxins   Mineral oil blocks  the skin’s ability to moisturize itself, leading to chapped and dry skin, which is usually the condition it is sold to alleviate.  While Petrolatum on its own is not too harmful, it is often cheaply produced and the impurities/contaminants often found in Petrolatum are the concern. Frequently, Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons(PAH) are found, which have been linked in studies to breast cancer.

A study done in Europe cites: “Petrolatum – Impurities in Petroleum Jelly or commonly known as Vaseline under suspicion as a carcinogen in Breast Cancer – Petrolatum Banned in products in the EU – Long term damage to health becoming evident – side effects from impurities in the manufacturing process implicated in causing cancer! “.  Petroleum and Cancer: Petroleum has been noted as a possible cancer risk.

In Europe, Petrolatum has been banned from use in cosmetics unless the source can be proven and the product shown to be pure. It is listed as a possible human carcinogen.  What a shame the USA hasn’t done the same thing.  It’s time we caught up to our European friends and started boycotting these toxic chemically laden personal care products.

As is often the case, there has been conflicting information about the carcinogenicity and potential toxicity of Petroleum Jelly and mineral oil in the last few years. The results of each companies testing, from Independant Labs to the private labs of the companies selling these same products,  can be argued forever, and any study can be criticized, but the facts remain the same….. these commonly used daily moisturizers, lip balms and antibiotic ointments with petroleum based ingredients, did produce cancerous tumors in mice.

As per Dr. Mehmet Oz: “What could be more harmless than a little shine on your rosy lips?   Well, as it turns out, lots of things, because the shine in lip gloss comes from petroleum jelly. Petroleum jelly is a byproduct of oil drilling, and when you spread it on your lips, you end up eating it, which is essentially the same as drinking gasoline. Add up the amount of lip gloss the average woman uses (and consumes) over a decade, and it equals seven pounds. The European Union has banned many petroleum jelly products, and experts are concerned they could be linked to cancer. Women with breast cancer have twice the levels of hydrocarbons (substances found in petroleum jelly) in their breasts than women who haven’t had breast cancer.”

As per the (Environmental Working Group) EWG:  “According to its statistics 80 per cent of cosmetic and personal care products sold in the country contain one or more of around 24 known impurities that have been linked to cancer.” “…..to avoid 1,4-dioxane, read ingredient labels and avoid any of the 56 cosmetic ingredients that include the clauses ‘PEG,’ ‘xynol,’ ‘ceteareth’, and ‘oleth’.”

None of us would ever knowingly poison or contaminate our own body, or those of our children.  Manufacturers have made it increasingly difficult for us to understand and know what ingredients are in the products we use on our body every day.  No parent would knowingly put a gasoline byproduct on their childs lips or even worse, an open wound.  Yet, we have unwittingly been duped into doing just that for years.

It’s time we take charge of this part of our lives, by educating ourselves, our families and friends about what these ingredients are, to read labels carefully, and to put an item back if we can’t read the list of ingredients.  Say NO to ingredients that are 30 letters long and can not be pronounced except by an experienced chemist.  There is an alternative solution for a green and clean antibiotic cream.

My solution to this problem has been to use Young Living Essential Oil bath and personal care body products.  They are pure, organic, and unadulterated.  Young Living products are exactly what they say they are.  They are safe to use on any age person and your family dog.  You can read the ingredients, and there are no toxic ingredients used in the process of or in the final product.  Finally, a totally toxic chemical free line of therapeutic grade essential oil personal care products that you can feel good about using on your baby and yourself  that actually work!

As a nurse, what upsets me the most about this is the antibiotic ointments, because they are placed on an open wound with direct access to your blood supply.  I was so upset, that I created my own antibiotic blend of therapeutic grade  essential oils.  I have used it with amazing results now for well over a year, on everything from large severely infected  knee abrasions from a fall on a dirty sandy road, to a very deep puncture wound with a 1 foot long laceration from a rusty nail in our horses neck.  I was told regarding the horse that he would need an open debriedment with stitches, and a minimum of 2 weeks of oral antibiotics.  I chose not to do that, and instead squirted my antibiotic essential oil blend into his neck wound 3 times, (once a day for 3 days) at which point he was clearly feeling better and there was no visible infection or inflammation.  The vet and barn owner thought it was a miracle.

In a sense it was a miracle.  the time tested invinsability of the effectiveness of Young Living Essential Oils is nothing short of a miracle.  No matter what I use them for, they have never failed me….EVER.  If you’ve never used Young Living Essential Oils before, it’s time you gave them a try.  They are nothing like any essential oil you may have used from a health food store, in fact that’s like comparing apples to zebras!

If you feel like I do about putting a known toxic chemical on a wound, please contact me.  I would be happy to assist you in understanding what you too can do to get an effective  topical antibiotic treatment without petroleum jelly in it by using Young Living Oils.

I have created an amazing antibiotic blend, available for retail purchase.  Until that website is up & running, you can place an order by contacting me directly at tammybaile@comcast.net.

This is a 2 oz. bottle for $45.99 plus shipping.  Please remember Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils are used by the drop, not by the bottle, so this will last you for quite some time.

Bone Spur: Idaho Balsam Fir and R.C. Essential Oils TestimonialIdaho Balsam Fir Essential Oil.

“I had a bone spur the size of the end of my thumb on the bottom of my heel which hurt like the dickens. At night I could hardly wait to get off my foot because it hurt so bad but when I did, it hurt worse. During the night when I had to get up to go to the bathroom it took all I could muster up, to hobble to the bathroom because I couldn’t put any weight at all on the foot.

I had tried R.C. because I had heard that it had dissolved other peoples bone spurs. But it didn’t help mine. I was to the point where I was maybe considering about going to the doctor to see about getting surgery on the heel because I was tired of the pain all the time. Then one day there was a medical doctor on TV and he was talking about doing laser surgery on bone spurs. So I was really interested in seeing what he had to say about it.

The first thing he said was before they did surgery, they would give the patient cortisone shots and then see what happened. Da-a-a-a, What was the matter with me. Why hadn’t I thought of that before? We have a natural cortisone like action with our tree oils so I applied Idaho Balsam Fir and R.C. together on my heel. The first night the pain was less and in three days the spur was gone and that has been over eight years and I have not had any problems since.

My husband was having the similar problem with his foot on the ball of the foot last spring and I applied Idaho Balsam Fir and R.C. to his foot and in a week his pain was gone and has not came back.

What a relief not to have to resort to surgery and go through more pain and compromise the immune system when we have these wonderful oils to help us.” ~ Nancy S.

Bone Spur and R.C. Essential Oil Testimonial

“I was at the gym with a group of friends and one of them mentioned that it was time to make an appointment with her doctor to have a bone spur on her toe removed. She’d been to the doctor some months earlier and he’d told her that eventually it would get to the point where it bothered her, and at that time they would remove the spur. She was at a point where it was uncomfortable and becoming painful wearing her gym shoes. I remembered reading about R.C. (essential oil blend) dissolving bone spurs, so I suggested she give it a try. Within 3 days of putting R.C. on the spur it was no longer an issue for her! She also got more relief from the R.C. on her torn rotator cuff than with Panaway! Obviously it is an oil she doesn’t want to be without!” ~ Audrey

"There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly." ~ R. Buckminster Fuller

Medicine cabinet with essential oils for First AidMany years ago I discovered that I could make all kinds of products using therapeutic-grade essential oils and other common ingredients that are found in almost every household. What I was most surprised to find was that the products I made myself were not only less expensive, because the yield was greater, but they were much more effective than comparable products I bought in the store.

The other thing I like is that I always know precisely what’s in everything I use. This First Aid Spray is one of those recipes that I love and highly recommend. Sure, initionally you will be spending more to get these superior quality essential oils but when you consider the fact that each 15ml bottle of essential oil contains approximately 250 drops, you are getting a lot of pure essential oil for the cost.

The essential oils in this recipe are well known and researched for their cleansing, antiseptic, antibiotic, disinfectant, and skin healing properties. Perfect for the First Aid and Emergency Preparedness kits.

Tip: Only use a superior quality essential oil, such as Young Living, in your recipes for superior results.

  • 3 drops Tea Tree (Melaluca alternafolia) (#3587)
  • 2 drops Cypress (#3530)

Mix above essential oils thoroughly in 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Add this to 8 ounces of distilled water and shake vigorously. Put in a spray bottle. Spray minor cuts and wounds before applying bandage. Repeat 2-3 times daily for 3 days. Complete the healing process by applying a drop or two of tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) oil to the wound daily for the next few days.

This is an assortment of tips and testimonials for a variety of foot problems that may help you or someone you know. They all used essential oils or products from Young Living.

Aroma Siez Essential Oil and Foot Cramps Testimonial

“Another manifestation of my current body imbalance was waking up in the middle of the night with foot cramps…big OUCH! Thank goodness I had my trusty Aroma Siez (for those seized-up muscles) handy. I just applied a couple of drops neat on top of the feet, and on the bottom, and again, the cramping stopped as if by magic. I am so grateful that I now have built my “stash” of oils to have them all. I remember well when I was just beginning in the business, and my upline (who just came into the business a week or so before me) and I used to discuss which oils we would order first, in our desire to build an inventory, and how we felt it would be quite a while before we could order the kits.

It’s interesting to look back on that time, and I’m so grateful I stayed with it. Over time, Young Living has brought many blessings…not only the wonderful effective healing, but the abundance to now order whatever I choose without concern. The choice to join Young Living certainly turned out to be one of my better decisions in this lifetime!” ~ Anonymous

Feet as Soft as a Baby’s Bottom Testimonial

“The best combination I’ve found for cracked dry skin is to mix a small dab of Tender Tush with a small dab of Animal Scents Ointment in my palm mix them together well and apply them to feet, knees, elbows and hands. If I had a fungal or any other type of infection, I would add a few drops of Melrose to my little mixture of Tender Tush and Animal Scents Ointment. This combination makes my skin feel as soft as a baby’s bottom.” ~ Evelyn

Omega Blue for Dry Skin Testimonial

“I increased the Omega Blue [fish oil supplement] in the winter time. It really helps me not have dry skin.” ~ Kim
