Medicine cabinet with essential oils for First Aid Many years ago I discovered that I could make all kinds of products using therapeutic-grade essential oils and other common ingredients that are found in almost every household. What I was most surprised to find was that the products I made myself were not only less expensive, because the yield was greater, but they were much more effective than comparable products I bought in the store.

The other thing I like is that I always know precisely what’s in everything I use. This First Aid Spray is one of those recipes that I love and highly recommend. Sure, initionally you will be spending more to get these superior quality essential oils but when you consider the fact that each 15ml bottle of essential oil contains approximately 250 drops, you are getting a lot of pure essential oil for the cost.

The essential oils in this recipe are well known and researched for their cleansing, antiseptic, antibiotic, disinfectant, and skin healing properties. Perfect for the First Aid and Emergency Preparedness kits.

Tip: Only use a superior quality essential oil, such as Young Living, in your recipes for superior results.

Essential Oil First Aid Recipe

5 drops Lavender (#3575)
3 drops Tea Tree (Melaluca alternafolia) (#3587)
2 drops Cypress (#3530)

Mix above essential oils thoroughly in 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Add this to 8 ounces of distilled water and shake vigorously. Put in a spray bottle. Spray minor cuts and wounds before applying bandage. Repeat 2-3 times daily for 3 days. Complete the healing process by applying a drop or two of tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) oil to the wound daily for the next few days.
