Sacred Frankincense Essential Oil Young Living has recently established 3 Frankincense oil distilleries in Oman, where they are distilling our newest essential oil, Sacred Frankincense (Boswellia sacra). The species of Frankincense Young Living has carried for years is Boswellia carteri, which comes from Somalia.

Omani frankincense is regarded the world over as the rarest, most sought-after aromatic in existence. After careful negotiations with Omani officials, Gary Young was granted permission to build a Young Living distillery in-country, and take the resulting essential oil out of Oman. Until this partnership, no Omani frankincense had ever left the country, unless directly purchased by Saudi royals.

Compounds from therapeutic Clove essential oil can inhibit growth of oral pathogens Streptococcus mutans (the bacteria in our mouth that causes tartar/plaque/cavities is killed by Clove essential oil), Actinomyces viscosus, P. gingivalis, and P. intermedia. This is terrific news for those who are looking for alternatives to chemical ingredients and fluoride found in most dental care products. The savvy consumer will also want to know that all clove essential oils are not created equally, but I’ll discuss that later in this article.

Summertime Chamomile Milk Bath Recipe

There’s no doubt that this summer has been a scorcher, use this easy recipe to soothe away heat and sunburn. Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) has a warm, sweet, herbaceous scent that is relaxing and calming for both mind and body. Its gentleness makes it especially valuable for restless children. Soothing to all types of skin, it is used extensively in Europe in skin preparations. Roman chamomile is also beneficial when added to massage oil for relief of muscle discomfort after exercise. Roman chamomile was one of the Saxons’ nine sacred herbs.

For centuries, Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) has been used in Europe for skin regeneration, and mothers have used chamomile to calm crying children, combat digestive and liver ailments, and relieve toothaches. The essential oil is distilled from the flowering tops.

Summer Chamomile Milk Bath Recipe

1 pint of fresh milk (full fat is best)
1 TBSP honey
1 TBSP ground oatmeal
5 drops Young Living Chamomile essential oil

Mix all the ingredients together and add to a warm (not hot) running bath water. Soak for 15-20 minutes.

My girlfriend is an essential oil distributor for Young Living and loves Thieves Essential Oil based products. So, one night a few years back she took me out to dinner at Panera’s and told me to write a poem about thieves for her blog. An Ode to Thieves

A long time ago
in the days of yore
wizened thieves knew
they had the cure.
To steal from the sick
to rob the dead
to come home safe
to sleep in bed.
The days of the plague
were deadly and cruel.
The king caught word
about this tool,
he sent his horses,
he sent his men
to search every field,
hollow and glen.
The rogues were finally
caught in the act.
They were brought to the king
and shown the axe.
They had but one choice -
to die slow or fast.
The king wanted his family
to last and last.
The morbid band
began to write
about plant oils
that had the might
to render a person
both safe and chaste,
when mixed together,
on the body placed,
against sickness, disease,
and malady all.
Do you think this story
is so very tall?
History is full

that come to us
on wide spread wings.

Studies are showing puberty is beginning as early as age 7!! How scary and sad. Why is this so? Researchers are coming up with ideas of: the types of foods that are being consumed AND household products and personal care products. Da……….

It is a grossly unfortunate situation. It has happened, I believe, yes because of the bad, processed and fast foods that come from animals pumped up with hormones and fed grains that have been grown in chemically fertilized grounds. Plus the large percentage of household cleaning products, personal care products and supplements, that are laden with ingredients that are bodies understand are not beneficial for consumption, because of the chemicals and toxins that are in them.

A little girl age 12 told me (this is now summer of 2010) that girls in her school are having sex at age 8!! My mouth dropped to the floor. Our conversation went on for sometime after that.

Who is to blame? Does it matter? What matters is RIGHT NOW we all need to make the appropriate changes in our lives and to teach our children how to take a turn on the road they are currently being led down, and show them what to do to correct what has been wronged of them. Back to School with Healthy Snacks

School will soon be starting and healthy snacks are part of what should be on all back to school shopping lists. In most cases it is not a healthy option to rely on the school system to provide our children with a balanced meal. Each day the food our children are being offered is most likely filled with salt, fat or processed ingredients. This is not acceptable in my opinion.

Our children need our guidance and support to help them through life. School can be very stressful. One for sure way we can help them is by sending them off with a lunch from home, filled with yummy, healthy snacks. They will feel better and their friends will hopefully ask their parents to do the same for them.
