How to Restore Alkalinity

An alkaline environment is hostile to fungi, which require acidity to survive and thrive. Lowered yeast and fungus popula tions translate into lower levels of body-damaging, disease-inducing mycotoxins. Some of the most common varieties of pathogenic bacteria, yeast, and fungi that live in the intes tines are inactive. However, when the body is weakened by illness, stress, and excess acidity caused by stress, these bacteria become harmful and active, changing into an invasive mycelic form.

Tips for a natural healthy lifestyle:

  1. Carefully monitor your diet. Avoiding yeastand fungus-promoting foods is a crucial factor in combating excess acidity and fungus overgrowth. Meats, sugars, dairy products, pickled and malted products can be especially acidic. On the other hand, garlic is excellent for controlling fungi and yeast.   • Use 6 drops of Lemon oil and 6 drops of Purification oil in a 4 oz. spray bottle mixed with distilled water to use in the bathroom as an air freshener.
  • Use 1-2 drops of Lemon oil to remove gum, oil, grease spots or crayon.
  • Use 1 drop of Lemon oil to add flavor to baked goods or beverages.

Everywhere, women in particular are always on the hunt for new ways to prevent and reverse the aging process of their face. Knowing how, and why wrinkles form can be helpful in knowing what to look for in an anti-wrinkle cream. In this article we will discuss these topics, as well as some elite, facial care products to help you fight the war against creases!

As we age our skin becomes thinner, drier, and starts loosing it’s elasticity. Environmental factors also come into play when it comes to wrinkles. Free radicals for example cause skin to age more quickly (see my article on Petrochemicals, Free Radicals, and Essential Oils to learn how to combat these environmental factors).  Keeping the skin well hydrated with the right moisturizer can really help with the anti-aging process. Notice I said “the right moisturizer” though! Most cosmetics on the market contain ingredients that are not only cancer causing, but can actually, in time, do the opposite of what you are purchasing them for. Chemicals are not friends of the skin! In a test conducted by the Environmental Working Group, many skin care products including cosmetics and around the eye and anti-wrinkle creams were tested to have cancer causing contaminants above government recommended limits (see article here). That’s not too pretty! Parabens, another dangerous ingredient that is actually banned from European cosmetics,  are in ours and they have been found to disrupt the endocrine system. Conflicts of interest are rampant in the vaccination infrastructure. The same people who are regulating and promoting vaccines are also evaluating vaccine safety. For instance, Dr. Paul Offit of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia earned at least $29 million as part of a $182-million sale by the hospital of its worldwide royalty interest in the Merck Rotateq vaccine. He also formerly sat on the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to help create the market for rotavirus vaccine Mercola just put up an article on Swine Flu, one of dozens. It seems very apparent that we are indeed being lied to and that we’re given tons of misinformation, and hype. The CDC even stopped confirming cases of Swine Flu H1N1 in August! Additionally, of all people tested, who had flu-like symptoms, only 2% of them actually had H1N1.

So, is Obama being bamboozled?

They’re not tracking H1N1 and they’re not confirming cases of it either!

The US government’s own statistics show that there appears to be MASSIVE amounts of misinformation and outright deception going on that appear to be designed to panic American people into believing that H1N1 influenza is more serious and widespread than it is.

CBS reports, in the video above during a 3 month long investigation, that in late July 2009 the CDC advised states to STOP testing for H1N1 flu, and they also stopped counting individual cases. Their rationale for this, according to CBS News, was that it was a waste of resources to test for H1N1 flu because it was already confirmed as an epidemic.

It’s interesting to note that at the same time as the CDC decided the H1N1 epidemic warranted no further testing for cases due to its epidemic status, Finnish health authorities actually downgraded the threat of swine flu. Read more at Mercola.com

How many readers here would prefer to prevent depression and the use of antidepressant drugs if they knew  how? There are so many all-natural things we can do that to list them all here would make this an incrediblity long article. So for the time being I’ll cover just a few and a study on omega 3 fish oil, that can easily be incorporated into a healthier lifestyle.

Down in the dumps… practicing these 4 easy steps will make a huge difference…

  1. Get out into the sunshine without sunscreen or sunblock. Do so mindfully, starting out with exposure of 10 to 15 minutes at a time, and slowly build up from there. The natural vitamin D that is FREE from the sun boasts benefits, not fears, one such benefit is prevention of cancer and other common diseases. The vitamin D we get from sun exposure is different than a vitamin D supplement.
  2. Start an organic garden. Aside from sun exposure it has also been shown that having an organic garden is extremely healthy for the body and mind. As a former organic Landscape Designer I can tell you that a garden need not be complicated or expensive, nor does it require any items or products other than seeds, plants, rake, shovel, and a good air a garden clippers. As I write more articles on gardening smart I’ll add links here.
  3. Eat Locally grown produce! This alone is an awesome experience. You’re eating more seasonal foods, fresh foods, and you meet local farmers and make new friends in your community.  omega-blue-supplement-fish-oil
  4. Add Omega 3s to your diet. In the form of a high quality Omega 3 supplement, like Young Living’s Omega Blue, and in the form of healthier types of fresh fish (not those frozen battered and boxed things, those are low quality and don’t have much in the way of nutrition). Fresh fish will NOT have a fishy odor and will not stink up your house when you cook it; if that’s been your experience then you know the fish you’ve been buying is old and on it’s way to going bad. This is where I’ve bought all of my fish for the past 5 years. And of course, I get my fish oil, Omega Blue, from Young Living. Fish Oil Rivals Antidepressants in Clinical Trial by Craig Weatherby

Clinical findings affirm earlier indications and further justify strong omega-3 support from the American Psychiatric Association

The results of the largest-ever clinical trial found that omega-3 fish oil may significantly benefit half of all people diagnosed with depression.

Specifically, fish oil seemed to help the 50 percent of depression patients who are free from diagnosed anxiety disorders.

Fish oil appeared to help these people about as much as the leading class of antidepressant drugs … that is, selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as Prozac and Paxil.

Participants for the trial were people diagnosed with moderate to severe unipolar (i.e., not bipolar) major depression who were unable to tolerate antidepressants, who refused them despite a physician’s recommendation, or who were not helped by the drugs.

More than 430 patients with an episode of major depression were assigned to take either with omega-3 EPA from fish oil (1,050mg per day) for two months or an identical-looking placebo pill masked with fish odor.

Fish oil did not perform better than placebo, for the patients diagnosed with anxiety as well as depression. [Here's a study on using essential oils of orange and lavender that has shown to help anxiety].

More than 430 patients with an episode of major depression were assigned to take either with omega-3 EPA from fish oil (1,050mg per day) for two months or an identical-looking placebo pill masked with fish odor.

Omega-3 EPA from fish oil did not perform better than placebo among the patients diagnosed with anxiety as well as depression.

But among those diagnosed with major depression ─ but not anxiety ─ the patients who took omega-3 EPA had significantly better scores than the placebo group.

As lead author Francois Lesperance, M.D., told Medscape Psychiatry. “… the level of improvement we saw in this subgroup is on a par with what has typically been reported with pharmacologic treatments.” (Stein J 2009)

Findings apply to the half of all depression patients not usually studied

These findings are important because they carry implications for about one-half of all depressed patients … those who do not also display anxiety disorders.

And these people are often excluded from placebo-controlled studies of antidepressant drugs.

Dr. Lesperance made a key point: ”Many depressed patients prefer to avoid drug treatment because of the stigma associated with such therapy, not to mention potential treatment-related side effects, and thus it’s nice to be able to offer patients an alternative treatment that is similarly effective but without the risks.” (Stein J 2009)

Most population studies show links between higher levels of omega-3′s and reduced depression risk, and/or link low levels of omega-3′s ─ or an excess of omega-6′s versus omega-3′s ─ to higher levels of depression.

Besides supporting normal mood, research shows that omega-3′s ─ and higher than average omega-3/omega-6 intake ratios ─ likely benefit cardiovascular, brain, bone, and metabolic health.

Baby wipes, for instance, often contain chemicals that are known to be dangerous.  It is so important to realize that the skin is the body’s largest organ, and what you put on yours and your child’s skin is absorbed into the body. Very Berry NingXia Red Breadwolfberry-goji-berry-cooking

Combine:

  • 3/4 cup brown rice flour
  • 1-1/4 cup barley flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of sea salt

Add:

  • 2/3 cup Blue Agaveseasonal-09-ningxia-red
  • 2 bananas, lightly mashed
  • 1/2 cup wolfberries or blueberries
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 5-6 tablespoons NingXia Red
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup canola oil

While you are preparing this recipe, it’s always nice to have a glass of NingXia Red to sip on while working.  You get all the added benefits of super anti-oxidants.  How great is that!!

Beat ingredients on medium-high until well combined.  Pour batter into prepared bread loaf pan and put in oven on the middle rack.  Bake for 1 hour, until slightly dark on the edges and golden on the top. Use a knife around the edges of the pan, then wait 5 minutes and turn out onto a paper towel.  Place bread on serving plate.

Glaze

While the bread is baking, put 1/2 pint of cream and a spoonful of Blue Agave in a small sauce pan.  Stir well, cook on medium heat until it comes to a boil, then lower to a simmer.  Stir often until it is a light caramel color.  Avoid overcooking.  Remove pan from heat.  Pour glaze over bread, slice, and serve.

For gifts, let the bread cool and wrap in festive colored saran wrap. Or when guests are over, have slices of bread available for everyone to enjoy.

Ingredients you will need:

  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons warm water
  • 2 drops Young Living Rosewood Essential Oil

Stir sugar in warm water until dissolved. Add rosewood essential oil and mix together well. Apply to freshly cleaned face and massage very gently for 5 minutes (avoiding delicate eye area). Wash off with warm water and pat dry.
