My Mother, bless her heart, has been suffering with Vertigo for many years. When Vertigo hits her, she gets tired and her spirits spiral downwards. Too top it off she has gotten depressed because she feels so helpless and she feels like her body is letting her down. She has had therapy for the Vertigo, but it is awful for her to go through because she has to do things, like lying down and turning her head and she feels like vomiting.
I FINALLY looked in my Essential Oil Desk Reference and an oil suggestion was Ginger. Which makes sense, Ginger may help with motion sickness, morning sickness, nausea, digestive disorders and much more.* Because our oils are so pure, many of them are safe to take internally (GRAS-Generally regarded as safe).
So, I put 6 to 8 drops of Ginger in a gel capsule and had her take it with a glass of water. I then applied a drop of Ginger oil behind her ears and lastly I massaged the outer edges of her ears and I also had her breath in the aroma of the Ginger oil and in just a few short minutes she felt tremendous relief.
Consequently, since then, whenever Vertigo raises its ugly head, I whip out the Ginger and it goes to work and kicks that Vertigo goodbye. I am so happy I am able to help my mom out with her health issues and with natural remedies!! And to help her out when she is feeling low, I plug-in the diffuser, put some Joy oil in it and rub some Joy oil on the bottoms of her feet. This helps to release those emotional feelings of sadness.* And the room smells great and her feet are soft and sweet-smelling and her spirits are lifted. How great is that!!
